Maintenance Technician/Electrician

Doha, Qatar

The maintenance electrician is responsible for the general upkeep of a building's electrical system. Required to inspect the premises regularly, conduct routine maintenance, perform repairs, and fix faulty wiring when necessary. Maintenance skills required such as inspect, diagnose and solving problems with machines or buildings. In addition able to perform basic repairs or take preventative measures to ensure the life and functioning of various types of equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Routinely inspecting electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances.

· Conducting maintenance repairs on old or faulty fixtures.

· Identifying faults or hazards.

· Troubleshooting system failures.

· Understanding of different type of circuit breakers and testing.

· Lighting control system (auto and manual).

· Type of switching.

· Cables termination.

· Pressure and flow switches operation and troubleshooting/ fault finding.

· Single and three phases circuit and wiring, operations and maintenance.

· Reviewing blueprints to understand wiring placement.

· Testing of electrical systems with multi-meter.

· Responding to fault requests.

· Providing suggestions for equipment replacement.

· Installing new electrical appliances in the building.

· Adhering to safety and performance standards.

Skills

· Ability plan and coordinate daily work stream.

· Effective written, verbal and listening communications skills.

· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

· Familiarity with electrical systems and local Electrical Code.

· Good problem-solving skills.

· Physically strong and able to stand for long periods.

· Be flexible and adaptable.

· The ability to use your initiative.

Language:

· English

· Arabic an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2,300.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • FM: 4 years (Required)
