Maintenance Training Manager

POSITION: Maintenance Training Manager

The Maintenance Training Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering training programs for Grant Aviation's Maintenance Department personnel. This role ensures regulatory compliance, maintains training records, supports audit requirements, and coordinates with internal departments and external vendors to meet training needs. This full-time position is based at our Anchorage offices located at the south end of Ted Stevens International Airport. The Maintenance Training Manager is required to exhibit Grant's values of Safety, Customer Service, and Community, while practicing professionalism when interacting with internal or external stakeholders.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Maintenance Department Training Program under the direction of the Director of Maintenance.
  • Serve as an authorized representative to perform CASS audits and participate in CASS meetings.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources Department regarding training, orientation, compliance, and personnel matters.
  • Responsible for the development, currency, and dissemination of the Maintenance Personnel Roster.
  • Design, develop, and assign online training courses for initial and recurrent training in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), company policy, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, schedule, and conduct in-person classroom training for department employees.
  • Maintain and retain training records; track recurring training requirements and authorizations for all maintenance personnel.
  • Research and evaluate third-party training providers; coordinate contracted training approvals from leadership as required.
  • Travel to remote maintenance bases to conduct training sessions and/or audits as needed.
  • Validate Airmen Certificates for maintenance personnel.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
(typically acquired through initial training)

  • Working knowledge of the General Operations Manual (GOM), Operations Specifications (OpSpecs), General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and Approved Aircraft Inspection Program (AAIP)
  • Thorough understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
  • Familiarity with flight manuals and other documentation relevant to assigned duties
  • HAZMAT recognition


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in developing training programs aligned with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain SIDA badge.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, work on ladders or platforms, and perform duties outdoors in inclement weather when required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in aviation-related software and tools, including Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and P&WC portal.

  • Competitive pay - the pay range for this position is $32 - 39 per hour. Pay will be set based on your experience, aptitude, and qualifications
