Maintenance Unit Supervisor

As a Maintenance Unit Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing maintenance operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical and electrical craft employees, prioritizing and coordinating daily maintenance work within a unionized setting.
• Lead safety discussions and conduct job-specific safety reviews to maintain a compliant work environment.
• Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting for mechanical and electrical systems, driving root cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities, supporting enhancements in equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Foster employee development through coaching, training, and providing performance feedback.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Experience in a production or industrial maintenance environment.

Preferred

• Prior supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with labor agreements and workforce management practices.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience in heavy industrial or continuous production environments.
