Maintenance Worker

Summary:

To perform various duties associated with facilities maintenance and janitorial work in a conventional office/warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Basic maintenance of physical facilities (indoor and outdoor)

• Perform snow removal as needed, shoveling, salt exterior walkways/steps, using snow blower

• Maintain room furniture setups as requested

• Painting walls, washing windows, sweeping/washing/vacuuming floors daily or as needed

• Clean all bathrooms daily

• Empty trash containers daily, replace trash bags as needed

• Routinely wipe down and disinfect doorknobs, light switches, and restroom fixtures

• Minor/basic repairs to toilets

• Replacing light bulbs/lamps when needed

• Maintain maintenance and janitorial supplies

• Daily disposal of all waste materials into designated dumpsters onsite (rash and cardboard)

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

• Assist other contractors as needed

• Must be able to work overtime on short notice when needed

Qualifications:

• Experience handling or working with chemicals and compounds

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

• Basic mechanical aptitude required

• Ability to prep and paint walls

• Demonstrated organizational skills, including strong detail orientation and accuracy

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Adhering to safety practices

• Demonstrated knowledge of building materials

• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and experience handling difficult people/situations

• Valid Driver’s License and reliable car

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:

• High School Diploma

• Minimum of 3 years related job experience required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
