Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to keep our facilities in top condition, ensuring a safe, functional, and attractive environment. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including landscaping, equipment repair, groundskeeping, and general building upkeep. Duties

• Perform landscaping and landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, tree trimming, gardening, and planting to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery including excavators for construction, excavation, or hardscape projects.
• Conduct lawn care routines like mowing, edging, fertilizing, and irrigation system management to maintain healthy turf.
• Carry out snow plowing and de-icing during winter months to ensure safe access around the property.
• Maintain trees through pruning and trimming to promote safety and growth; provide basic tree care as needed.
• Assist with general building maintenance tasks such as repairing fixtures, painting, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Support landscape design projects by installing hardscape features like pathways or retaining walls.
• Use horticultural knowledge to care for plants and ensure healthy growth across landscaped areas.
• Conduct routine inspections of grounds and facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
• Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or groundskeeping is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and tree care techniques.
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail for performing maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
