Duties

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct exterior maintenance activities such as lawn care, mowing, tree trimming, pruning, planting, garden, stucco, siding, window and roofing upkeep to maintain attractive outdoor spaces.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators for construction projects, hardscape installations, or repairs.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Carry out snow plowing, ice removal, and winter maintenance tasks during adverse weather conditions to keep pathways safe.
• Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety.
• Support general maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repairs, replacing fixtures, and cleaning to uphold facility standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, landscaping, gardening, and horticulture principles.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques like tree care, irrigation system management, hardscape installation, and snow plowing.
• Ability to perform physical tasks that require lifting, bending, climbing ladders or working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety protocols during maintenance activities.
• Prior experience in landscaping or facility maintenance is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
