Maintenance Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team at The Clara Welch Thanksgiving Home, an upscale Adult Home. In this energetic role, you will be assisting in the responsibilities to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities and outdoor spaces under the direction of the Facilities manager. Your Knowledge in mechanical systems, landscaping, and general maintenance will help create a welcoming environment for all visitors, residents and team members. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across various projects, from lawn care to construction tasks, contributing directly to the upkeep and improvement of our property.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance on buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas to ensure optimal operation and safety.
• Conduct landscaping activities including mowing, tree trimming, gardening, lawn care, and landscape maintenance to enhance curb appeal.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other machinery safely and efficiently for Lawn work and Snow removal.
• Perform snow plowing during winter months to maintain accessibility and landscape health.
• Assist with tree care activities such as pruning, trimming, planting, and removal to promote healthy growth.
• Support hardscape projects by installing or repairing walkways, patios, and other outdoor features.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects involving horticulture or landscape design to improve outdoor aesthetics.
• Some Janitorial duties

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control.
• Experience in landscape maintenance, tree care, gardening, and horticulture principles.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as a Bobcat safely for construction or landscaping projects.
• Familiarity with snow plowing techniques for seasonal maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs and preventative maintenance.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
