This is semi-skilled manual work requiring the application of skills and knowledge above the basic laboring level. Work includes a variety of cleaning tasks including pressure washing sidewalks and outside windows; landscaping to include maintenance of grounds and turf, and sprinklers/irrigation; pickup of litter; helping with event set up and tear down; and performing minor repairs at the Manhattan Casino using specialized hand tools, power tools, and equipment. An employee in this class performs heavy manual labor, occasionally under adverse weather conditions. This position requires routine shifts on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: $17.64 - $23.72 Hourly

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
The successful candidate must be either a resident of the City of St. Petersburg as of his or her date of employment or establish primary residency within the city limits of St. Petersburg within six months of completing the probationary period. Furthermore, as long as the successful candidate is employed in this classification, he or she must reside within the city limits of St. Petersburg. This requirement is not applicable to current City employees who were hired before October 20, 1997.
