The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. The position will perform duties including, but not limited to, the following: research and analysis of the overall function of regulatory compliance; monitor and track aircraft time and reporting for maintenance forecasting, and service warranty administration; plan and coordinate flight operations to improve efficiency of operations and funding; analyze current fuel costs prepare and monitor the biennial budget; review current expenditures to assess if cost savings can be realized through alternate means (i.e., purchase vs. rental); identify trends and make projections for future costs; preparing financial reports for presentation management and other entities as needed; create and monitor equipment replacement schedule to ensure items are replaced and/or maintained timely; develop systems or procedures that can improve current methods; and prepare statistical reports and/or presentations. Additionally, the position supervises an Administrative Assistant 3 to include performance evaluations, work performance standards, work assignment and work review, discipline, training and scheduling.
Management Analysts, in part, perform duties such as compiling and organizing data; conducting studies, research and analysis of departmental operations; legislative analysis; making recommendations regarding policies, procedures, the department's position on issues or future course of action.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
