Overview:
The Management Development Program (MDP) is designed to cultivate future leaders within Blanchard Machinery Company through a structured, multi-track, rotational experience. Over 12 months, participants will gain broad exposure across our core business areas while developing leadership, technical, and business acumen. Participants will follow one of three specialized tracks — Sales, Accounting/Finance, or Product Support.
Tracks:

Sales – Develop expertise in business development, territory management, and customer relationships. Learn to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and drive revenue growth.

Accounting/Finance – Gain knowledge in financial operations, credit, budgeting, and reporting. Support performance optimization through data-driven recommendations.

Product Support – Learn the operational foundations of service, parts, warehouse, and field support. Focus on improving efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.

Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.

Participate in rotational assignments across key business units (Sales, Parts, Service, Rental, Finance) to gain a holistic understanding of dealership operations.

Engage in hands-on learning experiences and complete real-world business-impact projects within your selected track.

Receive mentorship and guidance from senior leaders throughout the program.

Develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills through professional development and on-the-job training.

Build relationships across departments and with customers to strengthen collaboration and service excellence.

Present findings and project outcomes to department managers and executives.

Upon completion, transition into a role within assigned track and continue professional development.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Logistics or related field required.

Strong leadership potential demonstrated through internships, coursework, or extracurricular experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Ability to travel and/or relocate for rotational assignments.

Ability to meet BMC Driver Qualifications Policy requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.

Prior exposure to heavy equipment or related industry preferred.
Working Conditions

The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside throughout the day, however this position may also require working in non-climate-controlled environments as well as outdoors.

Position requires employees to be physically present at designated worksite locations.
