Manages interior design projects, such as carpet installation, furniture updates, and minor remodels. Supervises SLCC’s Furniture and Moving team. Oversees campus moves, installations, and repairs of campus furniture. Meets with college users, vendors, tradespeople, contractors, interior designers, and others associated with projects. Works closely with college department personnel to ensure their needs are understood and coordinated into the project. Obtains quotes or bids for work, furniture, fixtures, carpet, roller shades, and equipment associated with assigned projects. Monitors project budgets to ensure money is spent properly and that adequate funds are available. Visually inspects the project on a regular basis for quality and craftmanship to ensure the work is consistent with SLCC Standards, plans, and specifications. Accounts for project completion time, schedule, and budget. Helps coordinate furniture and carpet installations with interior design, college users, Surplus, and furniture vendors and to ensure that all project needs are filled, including but not limited to data, power, lighting, etc. Inputs work orders and/or initiates improvement projects to ensure buildings and grounds remain in a state of good repair. Assists in the documentation and planning of projects, space inventory, allocation, and utilization. Other duties as assigned.
This job requires: excellent communication, critical thinking, and creative problem solving skills; strong project and people management background; basic familiarity with construction and architectural plans and building codes, safety compliance, and ADA requirements; effective leadership and team-building skills; working knowledge of computers and software, including AutoCAD, E-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and computer maintenance and management systems (CMMS); ability to communicate effectivity with a broad range of diverse people to maintain good working relationships across the College.

Bachelor’s degree. Trade off 2:1 in experience/education. Have or ability to obtain a valid Utah driver’s license.
One (1) or more years of full-time project management experience related to Interior Design, and/or Planning and Research. Trade of 2:1 for part-time work
