- 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts as per applicable accounting standards.
2. Accounts Receivable & Payable
- Oversee customer outstanding, credit control, and timely collection.
- Manage vendor payments, reconcile supplier accounts, and ensure correct documentation.
- Monitor credit notes, discounts, and reconciliation of OEM (manufacturer) accounts.
3. Inventory & Cost Management
- Manage accounting for vehicle stock, spare parts inventory, and workshop consumables.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and investigate variances.
- Coordinate with the sales, service, and parts departments for accurate cost allocation.
4. Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and support internal and external audits.
- File periodic tax returns and maintain all regulatory documentation.
5. Budgeting & MIS Reporting
- Prepare annual budgets and monitor variances.
- Develop MIS reports including profitability analysis, cost reports, workshop performance, and sales margins.
- Provide management with financial insights to support decision-making.
6. Banking & Cash Flow Management
- Manage cash flow, bank reconciliation, fund allocation, and daily cash/cheque deposits.
- Handle loan documentation, vehicle financing reconciliation, and coordination with banks/NBFCs.
7. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the accounting team.
- Allocate responsibilities, train new members, and ensure adherence to accounting processes.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate recording of vehicle sales, workshop revenue, spare parts billing, and incentives.
- Monitor depreciation, asset capitalization, and inventory valuation.
