The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, managing financial reporting, and supporting management with accurate and timely financial insights. The role requires strong leadership, analytical ability, and hands-on expertise in accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely closing of books.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare weekly/monthly cash flow statements.
2. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, PT, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- File GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings on time.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and monitor variances.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
- Track expenses and recommend cost-control measures.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
- Oversee vendor payments, invoice validations, and credit control.
- Follow up on receivables and maintain ageing reports.
- Negotiate credit terms with vendors when required.
5. ERP & Process Management
- Manage accounting processes in ERP-SAP (as applicable).
- Ensure data accuracy and strengthen internal control systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
6. Team Management
- Lead and guide the accounts team.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide training where required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian taxation.
- Expertise in SAP or any accounting software.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot, v-lookup, MIS reporting).
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and team management skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter preferred.
- Experience: 8–10 years of experience in accounting
- Experience in [industry—real estate/construction/etc.] will be an added advantage.
