Manager Accounts & Finance — Cinema Operations

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to manage the Accounts & Finance function for our cinema operations. This role owns financial planning, reporting, compliance, and controls across multiple cinema locations, and partners closely with operations, box office, and concessions teams to drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the accounts, finance, and audit functions for cinema operations, including box office revenue accounting, concessions, and ancillary income streams
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with variance analysis
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across all cinema sites
  • Manage reconciliation between POS/ticketing systems (box office, F&B) and the general ledger
  • Ensure robust internal controls over cash handling, ticket sales, and revenue recognition across multiple locations
  • Oversee statutory compliance, tax filings, and coordination with external auditors
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable business taxes and ensure the organization's ongoing compliance
  • Manage ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) for financial reporting and cost management
  • Analyze per-screen, per-location, and per-title profitability to support commercial decisions
  • Support capital planning for new cinema openings, screen upgrades, and equipment investments
  • Lead, mentor, and build a team across accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and audit
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and key vendors (distributors, landlords, F&B suppliers)
  • Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership and the board
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally with exposure to retail, hospitality, entertainment, or multi-site operations
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit/compliance in a multi-location business
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition for ticketing and F&B/retail environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and team leadership skills
  • Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills

Preferred

  • Prior experience in the cinema, entertainment, or leisure industry

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
