We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to provide strong leadership to our Accounts Payable department. In this role, you'll ensure smooth departmental operations while optimizing processes and building lasting relationships both internally and externally.
The ideal candidate is analytical, decisive, and process-oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills. You'll play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy while supporting our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize the Accounts Payable function, implementing process improvements to increase departmental efficiency
- Develop and execute documented processes for integrating new acquisitions into corporate accounts payable
- Maintain proper internal controls and enforce company policies and procedures
- Plan work assignments, evaluate team performance, and provide direction on procedural and technical challenges
- Guide support staff on complex transactions requiring resolution
- Research and resolve discrepancies in financial documentation before processing
- Ensure proper coding of invoices with accurate general ledger accounts
- Provide invoice resolution assistance to vendors and internal stakeholders
- Support month-end closing tasks, including expense accruals
- Assist with external and government agency audits

6+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, including 2+ years in a managerial role
- Experience in high-volume AP operations using ERP software (Sage 300 knowledge preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and deadline management
- Outstanding communication skills at all levels of management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
