What you'll do:

The Manager – B2B Cross Border & Middle Mile will be responsible for managing end-to-end cross-border supply chain operations from the UAE Free Zone to Styli’s global destinations such as Europe, Africa, and the US. This includes coordinating with Styli’s Fulfillment Center (FC), freight forwarders, and 3PL warehouse partners in destination countries. The role is critical to ensuring timely dispatches, compliant movement of goods, and customer satisfaction for B2B shipments while balancing cost, delivery speed, and inventory risk.

1. Cross-Border Movement from the UAE

  • Own the execution of B2B outbound shipments from UAE Free Zone to international destinations (Europe, Africa, USA, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Styli’s UAE Fulfillment Center team for timely pickup and export documentation readiness
  • Ensure freight is consolidated, handed over to freight forwarders, and dispatched as per agreed schedules

2. Freight Forwarder & Air Connectivity Management

  • Liaise daily with freight forwarders to ensure efficient booking, cargo readiness, and adherence to international flight connections
  • Track transit times, monitor exceptions, and preempt disruptions with proactive communication
  • Optimize air routes and service levels (priority, express, deferred) based on shipment urgency and cost targets

3. Destination Country 3PL Coordination

  • Manage relationships with 3PL warehousing service providers in destination countries
  • Ensure timely inbound, storage, and delivery to business customers or distribution partners
  • Align 3PL performance to agreed SLAs for turnaround time, storage cost, and fulfillment

4. Returns Handling

  • Define and monitor reverse logistics operations:
  • Returns pickups from customers
  • Returns quality checks and storage in 3PL warehouses
  • Work with destination 3PLs to track returns, update inventory visibility, and drive cost control

5. Process Optimization & Performance Management

  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the cross-border flow
  • Lead improvement projects to reduce cost per shipment, improve delivery speed, and minimize inventory holding risk
  • Benchmark transit times and warehouse handling vs. industry norms and internal SLAs

6. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Business, Commercial, and Product teams to plan and support new country launches
  • Drive go-live readiness from an ops standpoint: customs setup, 3PL selection, SOP alignment
  • Prepare trade-off analyses (cost vs. speed vs. inventory risk) and present recommendations to leadership

7. 3PL & Vendor Management

  • Lead commercial negotiations with 3PL warehouse providers in destination countries (Europe, Africa, US) to optimize storage costs, handling charges, and service-level commitments
  • Evaluate 3PL proposals based on cost per unit handled, inbound/outbound SLA commitments, and value-added services (e.g., kitting, relabeling, returns QC)
  • Benchmark market rates and conduct periodic cost reviews to drive efficiency and maintain competitiveness
  • Draft and enforce clear service-level agreements (SLAs) tied to performance KPIs and penalties/incentives for compliance
  • Coordinate cross-functional input (finance, legal, tech) during contract negotiation and onboarding of new 3PL partners

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of experience in international supply chain, logistics, or cross-border ecommerce operations
  • Hands-on knowledge of export logistics, freight forwarding (especially air freight), and 3PL warehouse operations
  • Strong coordination experience across time zones and multi-country operations
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate speed, cost, and service trade-offs
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management across internal and external teams
  • Prior experience with international cross-border shipments (Africa/US/EU)
  • Working knowledge of UAE customs regulations, duties, and export compliance
  • Exposure to Lean/Kaizen/Warehouse automation projects
