Job Description

  • Manages the end-to-end bid process for bids from identification to award.
  • Leads the development of technical and commercial proposals for the Middle East Civil Infrastructure business.
  • Leads bid development and/or technical proposal writing experience, as well as hands-on cost proposal development.
  • Works in partnership with senior leadership to develop winning pursuit strategies, ensuring all elements are incorporated into proposals
  • Assists in necessary market research and reporting required for new growth areas.
  • Works with other team members and marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled on time.
  • Prepares reports and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Participates in the go/no-go decision-making process, along with the appropriate managers and participates in the bid development process from start to finish.
  • Reviews tender documents, bid/qualifications request documents and drawings for proposal preparation.
  • Works with the Discipline Leads to produce man-hour estimates, fees and delivery schedules.
  • Resolves issues in any discussions with other End Markets and Regions as necessary to ensure that the RFP scope is addressed adequately and all costs are accurately considered.
  • Oversees the process of obtaining quotes from sub-consultants as required and leads negotiations of appropriate terms and conditions based on AECOM's standard contract and Risk committee requirements.
  • Monitors Salesforce entries for the business to ensure that the information entered is up to date and accurate.
  • Ensures that AECOM policies and procedures are followed and that all records are maintained.
  • Ensures that approvals are in place in line with the latest AECOM Delegations of Authority and all AECO governance processes are followed.
  • Verifies that all legal qualifications and the Middle East Risk Committee directives have been included in the final bid document before submission to the client.
  • Delivers within proposal deadlines.
  • Prepares presentations required for the Risk Committee.
  • Independently presents to the internal Risk committee for pursuits valued up to $50m.
  • Manages and mentors junior staff
