Manager, Business Development (Middle East)
The Manager, Business Development shall explore potential new market opportunities to achieve long-term financial growth through increasing revenue and building strong client connections. He/She will work closely with cross functional stakeholders to initiate, develop, and maintain industry contacts, engage in networking activities, and secure new business for the company.
Responsibilities
- Analyse existing and potential markets, identify and secure business development opportunities, lead prospecting initiatives to detect and establish new opportunities and collaborations.
- Responsible for sales quota with the ambition to drive growth for the business.
- Negotiate business contracts and agreements with key customers and meet established deadlines for the fulfilment of each customer's long term goals.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of customers by ensuring satisfaction with services provided while identifying new business opportunities with customers.
- Address and resolve customers' complaints and inquiries.
- Build long term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Communicate and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders - promotion, design, marketing, sales, and logistics - to ensure key customers' needs are met.
- Compile reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for stakeholders.
- Initiate, develop, and maintain industry contacts and engage in networking activities such as exhibitions to secure new business.
- Promote corporate solutions to potential and existing customers.
- Develop new business opportunities and accounts with value added services to customers' processes.
- Other ad hoc assignments as directed by superior.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, Finance or equivalent. Polytechnic Diplomas or lower may be considered with corresponding work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in business development and new customer acquisition in the Tobacco industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Possess excellent resourcefulness, tech savviness and customer relationship management skills.
- Possess initiative and able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
- Independent and able to work effectively with minimum guidance.
- Possess high level of analytical skills, interpersonal skills and able to build rapport easily across all levels.
- Self motivated and achievement driven.
