APP Manager – Hartford Region

Primary responsibilities include:

• Responsible for effectively leading the Neurosurgery service line in service delivery, program development, growth management, financial performance and quality improvement for the Hartford region.
• Leads, mentors, and coaches service line management team. Builds cohesive relationships with internal and external customers and ancillary departments.
• Coordinating AP scheduling to meet the needs of the service line
• Assist the POD lead with ensuring AP compliance with medical staff and Department of Surgery credentialing requirements
• Participate in the development of service-based competency training and credentialing of new advanced practitioner hires
• Keep AP’s involved in different projects throughout the year and report out at POD meetings, will set up dedicated time
• Conduct annual AP performance reviews with supervising physician

Qualifications

Advanced Practitioner Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
• Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
• Board Certification as an acute care nurse practitioner preferred.
