The Compensation Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees across North America. This role ensures compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage common compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives.
  • Responsible for organization-wide annual salary budget and annual compensation planning process. Ensure programs are competitive and in compliance with all relevant legislation (e.g. Canada Pay Equity).
  • Lead the development, implementation, and communication of pay transparency policies to ensure clarity and compliance across the organization.
  • Lead the development of compensation program/policy training and education materials for managers.
  • Responsible for the administration of the organization’s total Compensation program, including: wage, salary, short-term and long-term incentive plans, and job evaluation.
  • Responsible for assessing market compensation trends, surveys, and reports to determine the company's competitive position.
  • Collaborate on design and review of special compensation programs and/or incentive plans.
  • Provide compensation analysis, benchmarking, data modeling, reporting, and problem-solving to support client groups.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • CEBS, CCP or CBP designation is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compensation management or related HR function.
  • Experience with compensation analysis, program design, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of job evaluation and job analysis systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, including use of Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strategic oversight and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
