Manager - Construction & Installation

Penspen is urgently looking for Lead Construction Engineer (Offshore) for one of our prestigious PMC projects in UAE.

Scope of work:

Lead and manage all construction and offshore installation activities for ADNOC Offshore projects, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution in line with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and international best practices.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Offshore / Marine or equivalent).
Minimum 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas major projects.
At least 8 years of offshore experience in construction and installation.
Proven experience in PMC roles on large-scale offshore projects.
Mandatory GCC experience, preferably in UAE/ADNOC projects.

Technical Competencies:

Strong knowledge of offshore construction techniques and installation methodologies.
Experience with jackets, topsides, subsea systems, pipelines, and brownfield modifications.
Familiarity with ADNOC standards and international codes (API, ISO, DNV, etc.).
Expertise in project execution, risk management, and contractor supervision.
Understanding of marine operations, heavy lifting, and offshore logistics.

Ability to work in a multicultural, high-pressure project environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of offshore construction and installation works.
Oversee EPC contractor activities related to fabrication, transportation, and offshore installation.
Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, project procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor project schedules, progress, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.
Interface with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and operations teams.
Review and approve construction methodologies, installation procedures, and work packs.
Manage offshore campaigns including heavy lifts, hook-ups, pre-commissioning, and installation of structures, pipelines, and subsea systems.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure quality assurance and control throughout all construction phases.
Provide leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in project reviews, audits, and lessons learned sessions.
Report progress, issues, and performance metrics to senior management and ADNOC stakeholders.
