The Manager of Demand Planning will lead the global demand planning process for YETI and will be responsible for delivering a monthly, omni-channel, global demand plan that the supply chain team can leverage for supply planning. This individual will coordinate the global process by ensuring consistent assumptions around new product launch timing, price changes, and product end of life plans. This leader will be a key business partner to YETI’s sales, global supply chain, and product management teams, ensuring that all are aligned to make the best decisions possible for YETI.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate YETI’s global demand planning process on a monthly basis, ensuring consistent templates, assumptions, and deliverable dates across all channels and regions
  • Lead a team of wholesale business planners who partner with teams from YETI’s largest accounts in the US & Canada to develop account specific demand plans
  • Interface and communicate with account buyer teams to understand customer plans for YETI product as it relates to marketing, merchandising, and promotions
  • Review & provide feedback on demand plans across marketplaces (i.e. Amazon)
  • Consolidate the final demand plan submissions across all channels and load into SAP IBP. Run meetings with the supply chain and product management teams to communicate the key highlights of the plan and ensure all teams are aligned to any key updates or risks.
  • Partner with the supply planning team to develop a “constrained’ view of demand based on available inventory and deliver to finance to use as the basis for their financial planning processes
  • Prepare a consolidated demand summary and present to senior leadership on a monthly basis
  • Own YETI’s consumer demand reporting suite, which gives detailed visibility to the sales of both our direct channels and retailer partners (at point of sale). Provide strategic insights to groups such as product management and supply chain, which will influence future supply planning and product strategies.
  • Partner with product management to develop strategic launch plans for new products, providing guidance on expected sales volumes of various launch options
  • Play a lead role in key strategic projects, including the transition of our demand planning processes from manual and Excel based, to an automated solution using SAP IBP

Qualifications And Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree and greater than 8 years of relevant experience with at least 6 years of leading demand planning teams
  • Leadership experience in global planning within the Consumer Goods Industry preferred
  • Experience designing and leading demand planning processes within global omni-channel environments.
  • Successful track record of leading global cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in SAP and IBP, but also able to operate in Excel (both reviewing and preparing)
  • Experience in building high performing teams with the ability to create the foundation for the future in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent influencing, presentation, and executive communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with proven experience leading complex, large-scale, global projects
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to drive solutions cross-functionally
  • Individual must possess a high attention to detail, be data-driven, and fact-based
  • Must have the right to work in the US without visa sponsorship
