Job Summary
In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the digital hub for Colgate Palmolive India across brands to achieve brand outcomes and business growth. The candidate will be responsible for setting KPIs, managing execution of digital plans, monitoring their performance output as well as business/performance outcomes. The candidate will also be responsible for all media execution on select premium brands (this will cover traditional media as well.
Candidates KPIs will be related parameters that quantify digital media efficiency, media effectiveness and their impact on business performance.The candidate will work with the brand/marketing teams within the company in building best-in-class Digital media strategy & priorities on what is one of India’s largest advertisers. The job requires the candidate to work in partnerships with existing agencies. The Digital lead will need to build trust and rapport with internal stakeholders and external agencies alike. The candidate must develop ‘influence’ without reliance on ‘formal authority’ across stakeholders (brand teams, agency partners, media houses, finance teams and CP leadership).
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development of the Digital strategy across different channels/platforms (eg: Online video, social media & influencer strategy) based on a consumer journey.
- Strategic Development:
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive digital media strategies.
- Ensure alignment of digital strategies with brand experience goals and business growth objectives.
- Utilize consumer journey analytics to inform strategy across different digital channels, including online video, social media, and influencer strategies.
- Execution and Optimization:
- Ensure monthly media briefing is managed as per agreed timelines, work with media agency to have the media plans shared on time, evaluate and approve monthly media plans (all touchpoints). Align plans with Brand Managers and ensure creative agencies fill the Material requisition accurately & timely
- Weekly check-in on plan deliveries and creative optimisations where necessary
- Set and monitor KPIs across consumer journeys to optimize both top and down-funnel objectives.
- Integrate off-platform plans with eCommerce activations to drive traffic and conversions.
- Identify data-driven insights to continuously enhance digital campaign performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with brand, marketing, and eCommerce teams to ensure cohesive digital strategies.
- Collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to scale digital initiatives effectively.
- Innovation and Trend Adoption:
- Drive digital transformation by challenging teams with innovative thinking and planning approaches.
- Keep abreast of digital media trends to refine and optimize media effectiveness.
- Capability Building:
- Build capabilities of brand and marketing teams through training programs, digital days, and other interventions
- Owned media management: the candidate will also hold accountability for the owned media assets like the work on the Website, SEO and SEM. There will be close working with the divisional team for this workstream.
He/She will also be expected to collaborate with the CRM lead to have strong FPD data usage in our brand plans.
- Agency and Budget Management:
- Manage digital agency relationships for media planning and creative development.
- Work with finance teams to oversee digital media budget and ensure efficient billing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree and above
- Masters degree in Marketing, Media/Communication preferred
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing
- Direct experience on digital planning/buying across all platforms
- Integrated campaign planning (assigning roles to channels such as social, video, search, influencer)
- Must have some experience in performance digital marketing
- First hand knowledge of relevant ad tech tools and technology - Facebook ad manager, Google Marketing platform, Brand safety and tagging tools
- The candidate may come from an agency experience or from any other organization where he/she has done a similar role
- Sharp and sensible understanding of the Digital Ecosystem. Be able to apply innovative problem solving skills and logical analytical thinking that can connect the dots to drive results in a sustainable and scalable way
- Team players who can collaborate effectively, convince, influence and inspire various stakeholders to achieve structure, scale, efficiency and agility.
- Thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing, ambiguous environment and be comfortable with unprecedented ways of working.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to present thoughts in a coherent and organised manner.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $ - $ USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
