Job Description:

Baker Tilly seeks a Transformation Manager to support execution of large-scale organizational transformation across the firm’s top strategic priorities. This role is part of our Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO) and will partner with various firm leaders, key stakeholders and other ETO team members to deliver key initiatives across the firm. This role will require working at both the strategic and execution levels, across multiple service offerings, and developing deliverables on assigned projects.

The ETO serves the firm through providing transformational capabilities across several service offerings (e.g., Strategy and Solutioning, Program & Project Management, Process Excellence and Change Management) and supporting development of such capabilities throughout the firm. The Transformation Manager, as a member of the ETO team, will demonstrate a thorough understanding and depth of experience with organizational transformation; including strategic solutioning, program and project management and change management methodologies. They will leverage their subject matter knowledge and our organizational transformation methodology and associated toolkit to successfully execute transformation projects that meet or exceed stakeholders’ expectations.

The Transformation Manager is expected to be able to work autonomously and/or lead teams consisting of functional and technical resources, external contractors and vendor resources, based on the nature of the project. In this role, they will be responsible for setting clear objectives and executing on identified scope as part of each assigned transformation project. This may include supporting and executing multiple transformation projects concurrently, based on capacity.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a transformation role, whether client facing or internal, who can support the development and implementation of ambitious, complex, and multifaceted transformation initiatives, including people, process, and technology redesign and behavior change; willingness to jump in and execute at all levels of the work from project strategy to solutioning through implementation. Effective sponsor and stakeholder engagement and communication, and the ability to drive alignment across stakeholder groups, are musts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage program and project execution in designated service offering (i.e., capability), and ensure intended value creation and realization. Serve as project and/or change manager for assigned projects.
  • Drive adoption of project and change management methods and capacity across the firm, integrating with organizational transformation capability development.
  • Lead value creation and realization (i.e., ROI) modeling and measure progress through established reporting frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve program, project and change management best practices to advance the Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO) methodology, along its desired maturity path.
  • Drive strategic and operational solutioning at the project level, ensuring alignment across stakeholder groups.
  • Act as a liaison and trusted partner with other stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Support ETO team through additional responsibilities as identified.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Business, organizational design, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar capacity, including demonstrated success in managing successful projects and fostering collaboration in a virtual environment; experience in a professional services setting preferred.
  • Formal training or certification in project and change management methodologies and approaches desired (e.g., PMP, CSM).
  • Proven project management skills including scoping, planning, monitoring and controlling, issue resolution, and budget management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Experience with working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

The compensation range for this role is $107,950 to $204,670. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
