We are currently recruiting for a Manager - Events Security to join our Security Services team in our Headquarters, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Freezone.
Scope: The Manager, Events Planning leads the strategic planning and operational delivery of complex, high‑profile events, ensuring safe, efficient, and seamless execution across diverse environments. The role oversees large, multi‑tier teams, manages key stakeholder relationships, and applies advanced risk, crowd, and contingency planning to uphold service excellence. Through strong leadership and continuous improvement, the position ensures events are delivered to the highest standards while supporting organizational growth and reputation.
Financial:
- Deliver events within approved budgets while ensuring cost efficiency across planning, staffing, logistics, and vendor management.
- Optimize resource allocation for large-scale operations, including teams ranging from 50 to 700+ personnel.
- Support revenue growth by enabling high-quality delivery across diverse event categories such as sporting events, government/VIP programs, festivals, concerts, corporate events, and critical infrastructure operations.
Customer:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for high-level stakeholders, including government agencies, venue owners, and executive-level clients.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships that support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring alignment, transparency, and confidence throughout the event lifecycle.
- Manage conflict and lead crisis decision-making with professionalism, ensuring customer expectations are met even under pressure.
Process:
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of complex events, ensuring operational excellence across all phases.
- Manage large, multi-tier teams including security personnel, supervisors, contractors, managers, and operational staff.
- Apply advanced risk assessment, threat modelling, and contingency planning to ensure safe and compliant event operations.
- Oversee crowd management strategies, including flow modelling, ingress/egress planning, and crowd behavior analysis.
- Coordinate traffic management planning to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and attendees.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards, emergency response protocols, and incident command systems.
- Apply working knowledge of relevant ISO standards, including:
- ISO 22301 – Business Continuity
- ISO 31000 – Risk Management
- ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
Innovation:
- Introduce improved planning methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance event safety, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Promote continuous improvement across event operations, identify opportunities to streamline processes, and elevate service delivery.
Encourage innovation within teams, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and operational excellence.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum 10 years in the event industry both international and local experience Education & Professional Qualifications.
- Preferable bachelor's degree or higher in Event Management, Security Management, Risk/Security Management, Project Management or related discipline.
- Professional certifications are highly beneficial: SIRA / PSCOD / SIA (current or previously held), Level 5 Crowd Safety Management (required), CPP – Certified Protection Professional, PSP – Physical Security Professional
- Membership at ASIS International. Understanding the UK “Green Guide” (Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds), recognized as the UAE’s foundational event planning standard.
- Systems & Technology Proficiency: Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially: Excel (advanced), Word, Outlook, Experience with operational and planning platforms such as: Oracle, Salesforce, One Plan, Event mapping tools, deployment planners, and operational reporting systems.
- Additional Training Requirements: NEBOSH or IOSH preferred — essential for roles involving security risk assessment at scale.
- Ability to conduct: Threat modelling, Scenario planning (best/worst case), Security audits, Analysis of real incident case studies, Preferred qualifications: Level 2 Stage Pit Barrier Operations, Level 2 Conflict Management, Certified X-ray Machine Operator.
- First Aid or Advanced First Aid (Valid for 3 years)
