Why does the job exist?
The Family Support Services Manager will provide administrative and reflective supervision to Family Support Services supervisors state-wide. The FSS manager is responsible for development and implementation of the FSS program CQI processes, accurate and complete data collection, training development for internal and external stakeholders, management of inter-agency work groups and oversight of data collection.
How does it get done?
Oversight of the state-wide Family Support Services program day to day operations (30%)
Provide administrative and clinical management/supervision to FSS Supervisors (20%)
Develop and Implement policies and procedures for the FSS program (15%)
Develop and Implement a CQI process for the FSS program (15%)
Develop and support implementation of stakeholder trainings (10%)
Ensure accurate and complete data collection (10%)
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Family Studies/Services and six (6) years of experience as a social work assistant and/or in social or community coordination, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, health care, and/or behavioral health care, of which two (2) years must be supervisory experience. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. May work under frequent time constraints. Significant travel statewide is required, approximately 25% of time.
