About the Role

SMB Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Manager – Finance Operations & Delivery to oversee finance and accounting delivery for US-based clients, primarily operating in retail, food chains, franchise, QSR, and other multi-location businesses.
The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of finance and accounting outputs, including month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and day-to-day finance operations. The incumbent will review the work of finance teams, ensure compliance with client requirements, and act as a key point of coordination between internal teams and US-based stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, Big 4 experience (preferred), hands-on exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms, and proven experience in managing finance deliverables in a client-facing environment.


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Review & Delivery Management

  • Review and validate work performed by finance and accounting team members before client submission.
  • Oversee daily and periodic finance deliverables for US-based restaurant and franchise operations.
  • Manage task allocation, deadlines, trackers, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify errors, gaps, and process inefficiencies and ensure timely resolution.

2. Finance Operations & Accounting Oversight

  • Review GL entries, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit card/merchant reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee restaurant/QSR financial data including sales, deposits, vendor invoices, inventory/COGS, payroll entries, and store-level reporting.
  • Ensure accurate month-end close including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with client accounting policies, documentation standards, and internal controls.

3. ERP & Financial Systems (Oracle/SAP or Similar)

  • Review transactions, workflows, approvals, reconciliations, and financial reports within ERP systems.
  • Support process improvements, automation, and strengthening of financial controls.
  • Coordinate with teams to resolve system, data, and reporting issues efficiently.

4. Client Reporting & Quality Control

  • Review financial reports, reconciliation packs, variance explanations, and management summaries.
  • Ensure all deliverables are accurate, complete, well-supported, and client-ready.
  • Maintain audit trails, review notes, SOPs, and quality control documentation.

5. Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as a coordination point between internal teams, management, and US-based clients.
  • Communicate status updates, risks, delays, and dependencies clearly and professionally.
  • Lead review discussions and ensure accountability across assigned tasks.


Requirements

  • ACCA qualification required; CA/CPA is a strong plus.
  • Big 4 experience is strongly preferred (audit, advisory, finance transformation, or client delivery).
  • 8–10 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or finance operations/project delivery roles.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, SAP, or similar), including workflows, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close, GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience managing or reviewing finance/accounting team outputs.
  • Exposure to US-based clients and multi-location businesses (restaurant/QSR/franchise/retail) is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and ensure high-quality delivery under pressure.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in US restaurant, franchise, retail, or multi-location accounting environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills for reviewing large datasets, reconciliations, and reporting packs.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and guiding finance team members while maintaining delivery standards.
