What is Manager Financial Reporting?

The Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for overseeing the monthly financial close and reporting process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Group accounting policies. The role also encompasses driving Accounting Quality Assurance by ensuring robustness of financial data, consistency in accounting treatments, and adherence to internal controls and best practices.

Additionally, the position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support high-quality financial management, continuous process improvement, and audit readiness.

The role will be part of a 9-member team of Corporate Accounting.

What does Manager Financial Reporting do?

·        Lead and manage the monthly financial close and reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial results.

·        Oversee accounting activities across business divisions, subsidiaries, and entities to ensure compliance with IFRS and adherence to group accounting policies and procedures.

·        Review and monitor financial processes including accounts payable, fixed assets, and cash management, ensuring achievement of defined KPIs and identifying opportunities for process automation and improvement.

·        Collaborate with the Service Operations teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of financial processes.

·        Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to assess complex accounting issues and determine appropriate accounting treatments in line with applicable IFRS.

·        Build strong working relationships with business teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

·        Ensure compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

·        Manage the preparation of accurate and timely group and statutory financial reports and coordinate internal and external audit activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience
  • Must have good working knowledge of accounting (IFRS), financial reporting and ERP
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Must be business acumen and believe in teamwork
