Manager - Freight Forwarding

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to manage freight forwarding, export–import operations, and customs clearance activities. The role involves coordinating international shipments, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, handling documentation, and liaising with shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities, and clients to ensure smooth and timely cargo movement.

Freight Forwarding:

Coordinate international and domestic shipments via air, sea, and road.

Plan and manage end-to-end logistics operations from pickup to final delivery.

Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and overseas agents.

Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers/shipping line.

Track shipments and provide regular status updates to customers.

Resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies

Export–Import Operations:

Handle export and import documentation.
Ensure compliance with international trade laws and Incoterms.
Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and overseas partners.
Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely dispatch and arrival.
Maintain accurate records of all export and import transactions.

Customs Clearance:

Prepare and file customs documentation as per local and international regulations.

Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities for clearance of goods.

Ensure proper HS code classification and duty calculations.

Handle inspections, assessments, and customs queries.

Ensure compliance with customs, DGFT, and other regulatory requirements.

Minimize delays, penalties, and demurrage charges

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Freight Forwarding / EXIM: 2 years (Required)

• English (Required)
