Manager, Healthcare Operations

A leading New York Metropolitan area healthcare organization is currently adding a Manager, Healthcare Operations to join our team.


Assist in direction, oversee, manage, evaluate, and perform full range of administrative/operational responsibilities to ensure the efficient achievement of departmental and system goals.


Opportunity Details:

• Responsible for the provision of administrative and employment services.

• Serves as a point of contact to leadership on administration and management issues.

• Provides preparation for meetings, managing all proposals affecting the practice or staffing plan and miscellaneous expenses at the assigned location(s).

• Collaboratively works with other departments.

• Serves as a project manager to administrative and clinical managers for all management services at the assigned location(s).

• Works collaboratively on the local and system level, to manage expenses and budgets that support clinical needs.

• Analyzes and develops timely responses to requests or changes from leadership.

• Communicates and partners with facility staff to improve organization-wide performance based on experience.

• Identifies local labor-management issues and serves as point of contact for these issues.

• Manage team members.

• Engages in special projects.

• Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing budget spreadsheets.

• Position is not remote. Must be onsite 5 days a week.


Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Health Care Services (Clinical and/or Administrative), public administration or a similar field; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible management experience within a health care facility or medical group practice
  • Demonstrated competencies in the following areas:
  • Planning, decision-making and implementation
  • Analytical capacity (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Financial Management
  • Organizational abilities
  • Oral and written communication
  • Project management
  • Proficiency in contract and financial management
  • Excellent client management and business literacy skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required
  • High attention to detail. Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment
  • Must be able to prioritize a variety of time sensitive tasks. Consistently display the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion. Must be able to develop strong, trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
  • Knowledge and practical application of Federal, State, and local laws with a solid understanding of the general body of laws surrounding Finance, as well as some experience with HR
