The Team
Alvarez & Marsal’s GBS Advisory practice act as trusted advisors providing practical solutions to the unique problems of companies. Investors and government entities. We focus on elevating the conversation with our clients as it relates to rebalancing their workforce, modernize their operating models and realizing greater ROI from their assets, capabilities, while also leveraging the power of Centers of Excellence. Our dedicated experts are a team of operator/consultants who provide independent analysis and end-to-end transformation services delivering tangible business value in every economic cycle. We work with clients on target operating model design, process transformation, digital enablement, and transition execution across multiple corporate functions by combining the firm’s deep operational and finance expertise with technology-led solutions to accelerate business growth and efficiency. Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Global Business Services (GBS) functions are one among several levers we utilize toward this purpose.

How you will contribute

A Manager is accountable for the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of research, modeling, and IC materials across one or more engagements. The role involves close interaction with deal teams, active coaching of junior staff, and continuous improvement of tools, processes, and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee execution of multiple Target ID, diligence, or research workstreams, ensuring high standards and timely delivery.
• Lead development and review of advanced financial models, LBO analyses, valuation frameworks, and sensitivities.
• Own drafting and review of IC papers, investment memos, and fundraising decks, ensuring narrative coherence and data integrity.
• Provide regular technical review and coaching to Associates and Senior Analysts.
• Act as the primary day-to-day liaison with deal professionals, translating strategic direction into executable work.
• Improve internal templates, databases, and playbooks to drive consistency and efficiency.
• Manage resourcing, timelines, and risks, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Support business development efforts through tailored research or pitch support when needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; advanced degrees or CFA preferred
• 6+ years of experience in PE deal support, investment banking, consulting, or high-end research roles
• Strong command of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and research tools
• Confident communicator, comfortable presenting findings to senior stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and lead small teams under pressure.
