Manager - IT

Masqat, Oman

JOB PURPOSE: (For Omani Only)

This role is responsible for establishing core IT operations, ensuring system security and efficiency, supporting business applications, and building a capable IT team to support future growth. The IT Manager will play a strategic and hands-on role in driving digital enablement across the organization.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Establish and Manage IT Infrastructure:

  • Set up and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure IT systems including networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user devices.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware

Lead and Build an IT Team:

  • Manage and lead the IT team, assigning tasks, overseeing projects, and providing mentorship and training..
  • Recruit an internal IT team to support the company's growth and evolving technical needs.

Policy Development and Business Applications support:

  • Create and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards for consistent and secure operations.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of software systems supporting real estate operations, such as project management tools, ERP/CRM platforms, and property management systems.

Ensure Cybersecurity and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce IT security policies, monitor threats, and implement safeguards to protect company data and systems.
  • IT Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop short- and long-term IT strategies aligned with business goals, including budgeting and technology roadmap planning.

Provide Technical Support:

  • Oversee and provide hands-on support for daily IT operations, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient issue resolution.

Coordinate with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with project, finance, HR, and sales teams to understand their tech needs and deliver appropriate solutions.

Manage Vendors and Contracts:

Evaluate and manage third-party technology providers and service agreements.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • More than 10 + years of experience in IT , with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Proven experience in setting up IT infrastructure and systems from the ground up.
  • Experience with ERP systems and cybersecurity practices.
  • Leadership and project management experience.
  • Experience managing IT vendors, service contracts, and technology budgets.
  • Familiarity with real estate-related systems such as CRM, project management, or property management platforms is a plus.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA), Microsoft (Azure/AWS), or cybersecurity credentials (e.g., CISSP) is a plus
