The Role:


We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Manager of IT & Security to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office 365, proven experience managing internal IT teams, and experience with cloud security practices, including SOC 2 compliance. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT team while leading the way with our security and compliance initiatives.


You Will:


  • IT & Security Strategy: Define and execute the company’s internal corporate IT and security roadmap and partner with the leadership team to assess risk and scale infrastructure.
  • Helpdesk Team Management: Lead, train, and assist the helpdesk team as they triage, resolve, and escalate support tickets within defined SLAs, ensuring KPIs are met. Conduct performance management, coaching and career development with team members.
  • Helpdesk KPIs: Identify, set, and work towards KPIs that track the team’s efficiency, success, and customer service. Consistently track progress against them and inspire the team to continuously make progress towards improvement.
  • Software and Vendor Management: Review new and existing software vendors to ensure they meet company standards for security and management. Work with the finance team to negotiate new contracts and contract renewals. Find ways to reduce and manage software costs.
  • Hardware & Equipment Management: Support the helpdesk team in purchasing, configuring, and maintaining IT-related equipment for in-office and remote employees, ensuring proper functionality and cost-efficiency.
  • Cloud Security: Own and manage all aspects of cloud security in AWS, including vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, firewall management, identity and access management, encryption of data at rest and in transit. Create automations to effectively detect security issues and maintain secure configurations.
  • Compliance: Lead the efforts in designing controls, gathering evidence, and working with a third-party auditor to obtain and maintain SOC 2 Type 2 compliance.
  • AI Thought Leadership: Evaluate and govern internal AI tooling (security, privacy, cost, compliance). Establish policies for safe AI usage across the organization.
  • Training & Documentation: Provide training on unfamiliar software or hardware, ensuring that staff are equipped to use company systems effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in IT processes, apply scripting for automating tasks.

You Bring:


  • 5+ years of experience in IT/Security roles with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT leadership role or similar.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud workloads in AWS.
  • Experience with leading the way in SOC 2 preparedness and audits.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office 365 Administration.
    Experience managing internal IT teams and supporting both remote and in-office employees.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac OS environments.
  • Understanding of AAD Endpoint Management, Intune, and Apple Business Manager.
  • Experience configuring and managing SSO authentication for enterprise applications
  • Experience using scripting to create automated processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience in SaaS or high-growth tech companies
  • Familiarity with zero-trust architecture
  • Experience with endpoint detection & response (EDR) strategy
  • Prior experience scaling IT processes in distributed teams
