This is a senior-level position within the Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS), responsible for the development, creation, and implementation of strategic marketing, communications plans, and activities that support the goals and initiatives of the Library System for the purpose of increasing and broadening awareness of MDPLS and the services, programs, and resources offered to the community. The incumbent will be responsible for managing MDPLS' overall marketing and communications efforts, including branding, graphics, media relations, social media, website content, public education, and development activities, under the direction of an administrative superior. This role also supports system-wide planning, external relations, events, and community engagement.

In this position, the incumbent utilizes excellent writing, judgment, and time management skills to ensure content development, messaging accuracy, brand consistency, and project execution. The incumbent addresses critical issues affecting MDPLS and proactively engages the community, library stakeholders, library staff, and various Miami-Dade County departments, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
