Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology from an HEC recognized University with 5-6 years of professional experience in PHP development (desirably Moodle LMS administration and plugin development).
Desirable:
- Master’s degree or professional certification in Moodle or eLearning technologies.
- Experience integrating Moodle with external systems (e.g., payment gateways, OAuth 2.0).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the existing Moodle LMS environment, ensuring uptime, user support, and performance optimization.
- Develop and deploy custom Moodle plugins and features as per organizational requirements.
- Enhance the UI/UX of the LMS to improve user engagement and navigation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with hosting or development teams when required.
- Ensure system updates, backups, and security compliance.
- Integrate Moodle with other enterprise tools, such as payment gateways, reporting systems, and third-party APIs.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative units to gather feedback and continuously improve LMS features and services.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Essential:
- Proficiency in Moodle architecture and development.
- Hands-on experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control.
- Ability to design and implement custom Moodle plugins and themes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Desirable:
- Understanding of instructional design principles and UX/UI best practices in e-learning.
- Experience with Linux-based hosting environments and server administration.

- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
