Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for developing maintenance strategies and troubleshooting procedures for mechanical systems used in OSD manufacturing processes, including granulation, compression, coating, encapsulation & material handling equipment.
Key Result Areas

Ensure mechanical reliability and availability of OSD manufacturing, including granulation (RMG/FBD), blending, compression, coating, and Encapsulation material handling systems.

Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on OSD equipment to minimize downtime and ensure consistent product quality.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures involving drives, gearboxes, tooling, bearings, lubrication systems, and process critical components using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to support batch operations, equipment changeovers, and line readiness in OSD manufacturing.

Utilize SAP PM for maintenance management, including work order execution, breakdown reporting, preventive maintenance planning, and spare parts tracking.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying equipment performance gaps and implementing mechanical upgrades or reliability enhancements in OSD operations.
Job Responsibility:
Critical Spares Management

Identify, classify, and maintain inventory of critical mechanical spare parts for OSD manufacturing.

Ensure continuous availability of OEM recommended mechanical components like drive assemblies, cams, tooling, and wear parts for critical machines.

Monitor spare part consumption, failure patterns, and lifecycle data to support planned procurement and obsolescence management, minimizing production downtime.

Coordinate with stores and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment, and inventory control of mechanical spares.
Performance Improvement

Analyze maintenance records and breakdown data to identify recurrent mechanical failures, wear trends, and equipment performance losses.

Recommend mechanical design improvements, component upgrades, or equipment refurbishment/replacement to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering functions to implement equipment modifications and process improvements in OSD operations.

Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives aimed at reducing mechanical downtime, improving mean time between failures (MTBF), and enhancing GMP compliance.
Key Requirements:

A B.E degree in Mechnaical

7–10 years of progressive engineering experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or continuous/process manufacturing environments, with demonstrated senior‑level responsibility.

Extensive hands‑on experience in machine installation, commissioning, and site acceptance, including vendor coordination, FAT/SAT participation, start‑up support, and performance qualification readiness.

Lead the development and implementation of structured technical training programs for maintenance teams, focusing on mechanical systems, GMP compliance, troubleshooting competency, and equipment reliability.
