Manager Meter Reading - Electrical

We are hiring Manager Meter Reading Electrical to manage and oversee all meter reading operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient collection of electricity consumption data. The role is responsible for supervising meter reading teams, maintaining billing accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Plan and oversee daily, monthly, and annual meter reading activities.
• Ensure timely completion of meter reading cycles according to billing schedules.
• Monitor meter reading performance and accuracy across all service areas.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve meter reading efficiency and coverage.

Team Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and evaluate meter reading supervisors and field staff.
• Set performance targets and KPIs for meter reading teams.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and customer service.

Data Quality & Billing Support

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of meter reading data.
• Investigate abnormal consumption patterns, missing readings, and billing exceptions.
• Coordinate with billing and IT departments to resolve data discrepancies.
• Monitor estimated bills and implement measures to reduce estimation rates.

Revenue Protection

• Identify potential energy theft, meter tampering, and irregular consumption trends.
• Coordinate with revenue assurance and enforcement teams for investigations.
• Support loss reduction and revenue enhancement programs.

Customer Service

• Address meter reading-related customer complaints and disputes.
• Coordinate field verification visits when required.
• Ensure professional conduct of field staff during customer interactions.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with utility regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Enforce workplace health and safety standards for field personnel.
• Conduct periodic field audits and inspections.

Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare operational reports on meter reading completion rates, accuracy levels, and exceptions.
• Analyze trends and recommend process improvements.
• Present performance reports to senior management.
