Position Summary:

The Manager – Network Security is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the digital bank’s secure network infrastructure to protect critical systems and data from internal and external threats. The role ensures compliance with SBP cybersecurity guidelines, international security standards, and the bank’s internal policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and manage secure network infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, WAF, IDS/IPS).
• Oversee network monitoring, incident response, and threat management.
• Ensure compliance with SBP cybersecurity guidelines, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
• Lead vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Manage segmentation, VPNs, SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancers in alignment with security best practices.
• Lead the monitoring of network traffic, logs, and alerts to identify potential threats or anomalies.
• Develop and maintain network security policies, procedures, and configuration baselines.
• Administer and optimize firewalls, IDS/IPS, web application firewalls (WAF), proxy servers, and DDoS protection solutions.
• Maintain network access control (NAC), VPN concentrators, and authentication infrastructure.
• Lead security initiatives and projects in coordination with IT infrastructure, IS, and compliance teams.
• Perform hardening and security configuration of network devices to minimize vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security assessments, patch management, and configuration audits.
• Manage multi vendor’s network equipment (not limited to Cisco, Huawei, Sophos, BIG-IP etc.)
• Implementing and configuring routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Implements and maintains network security measures, including firewalls and access controls.
• Should have hands on experience in Routing and Switching.

Knowledge and Experience

Education: Degree BS or MS in computer Science/IT/Engineering + relevant certifications

Experience: 6-8 years

• Hands on experience of Security Systems (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF).
• Very strong WAN/LAN/TCP/IP networking skills.

• Web Application Firewall (WAF) deployment and tuning
• Network segmentation, VPNs, SD-WAN, and intrusion prevention systems
• SIEM and network monitoring tools
