IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

You will ensure that PTCL Group's Fixed Access Outside Plant (OSP) network evolves in alignment with business objectives, global standards, and emerging technologies. As access networks transition toward fiber-centric, high-capacity, and cost-optimized architectures, you will define standards, guide modernization, and ensure long-term technical consistency across deployments. Your primary objective is to develop and maintain network standards, specifications, and technology roadmaps for Fixed Access OSP networks. You will focus on identifying modernization needs, driving strategic initiatives, evaluating new technologies, supporting procurement, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure a reliable, scalable, and future-proof access network infrastructure.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT:

• Support the Technical Evaluation Reports (TERs) ecosystem and assist stakeholders, including procurement, with lifecycle management for various framework agreements across different domains.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for the fixed access domain, including specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and guidelines.
• Support strategic network initiatives within the Fixed Access OSP domain.
• Assist in implementing organizational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and SOPs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Qualification

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. Professional certifications related to telecommunications networks, optical fiber systems, network design, or standards development are an added advantage.
• Experience: Relevant professional experience in telecommunications network planning, standards, specifications, or technology strategy.

Technical Competency:

• Network Standards & Specification Development: The ability to develop, review, and maintain technical standards and specifications for Fixed Access OSP networks (fiber/copper), ensuring alignment with global best practices, business requirements, and operational realities.
• Technology Evaluation & Strategic Roadmapping: The capability to assess emerging access network technologies, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, and translate findings into practical technology roadmaps and modernization plans.
• OSP Infrastructure Design & Compliance Assurance: A demonstrated understanding of Outside Plant design principles, materials, and installation practices, with the ability to ensure compliance with defined standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory requirements.
