Job Purpose:

The Manager of Insight Generation & Decision Support is responsible for delivering timely, data-driven insights to inform executive decision-making, supervisory actions, and policy development. The role focuses on generating actionable intelligence through scenario modelling, trend analysis, and visualization, while supporting IA’s efforts to embed a data-driven culture across the organization. The role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and supports the development of user-friendly tools to communicate insights effectively.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Operations Management:

Implement the policies, regulations, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are met while delivering high-quality and cost-effective results
Models & AI:
1. Rapid Insight Generation & Analytics

Provide on-demand analytical support to IA leadership and departments using both structured and unstructured data sources.

Conduct scenario-based analysis, generate trend reports, and develop early warning indicators on emerging risks and regulatory issues.

Analyze compliance-related data from the Insurance Data Hub to assess and predict IA’s regulatory adherence and operational gaps.

Respond to supervisory escalations and crisis situations with high-speed data interpretation and reporting.

Manage and respond to executive insight requests through a structured hotline or service request process.
2. Decision Support for Leadership and Operations

Collaborate with the Models & AI team to develop predictive models and simulations for policy evaluation.

Translate complex datasets and model outputs into clear, concise briefing materials, reports, and dashboards for decision-makers.

Support strategic and operational decision-making by developing tools to prioritize supervision efforts and monitor market developments.

Deliver insights in a format accessible to senior executives, ensuring clarity and relevance to IA priorities.
3. Visualization & Communication

Develop dashboards, infographics, and interactive data visualizations aligned with IA's design standards.

Build and support data self-service layers in collaboration with the Data Engineering team to empower non-technical users.

Provide training and promote data literacy across IA departments to increase adoption of insight tools.

Support IA’s Communications team in public-facing data storytelling when required.

Track usage and effectiveness of insight products and continuously enhance them based on feedback.
4. Coordination & Integration

Work closely with Supervision, Policy, Risk, and Strategy teams to identify high-impact analytical needs.

Ensure all insights are based on high-quality, validated data through coordination with Data Governance and Data Engineering teams.

Share user feedback with the Models & AI team to support continuous improvement of predictive and simulation tools.

Maintain alignment of insight generation efforts with IA’s strategic objectives and operational workflows.

Perform other activities as and when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
Knowledge and Experience :
-
8+ years or more of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, or decision support roles.

Experience with query languages (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is an advantage.

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Ability to communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Education and Certifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Relevant certification is preferred
