Manager – Operational Risk and Risk Reporting

UBL Pakistan is seeking Manager – Operational Risk and Risk Reporting to join its dynamic GCC Risk team, based in Pakistan, and contribute significantly to maintaining the organization’s integrity and resilience. In this, the incumbent will be central to the risk management function, ensuring that UBL’s GCC operations consistently meet the highest regional standards. Job Responsibilities:

• Owner of the Operational Risk Policies for the GCC region, ensuring that they align with local regulatory requirements as well as the Group risk requirements
• Responsible for risk reporting relating to risk appetite and the risk profile of the GCC region
• Support the governance of operational risk, including risk appetite, risk reporting and KRI monitoring and escalation.
• Maintain the RCSA programme across the GCC region, oversee operational risk event capture and root-cause analysis
• Ensure resilience risk is reflected within RCSAs, and that critical processes are mapped along with critical system dependencies to support the management of business continuity and resilience risk.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in operational risk management within financial services
• Strong knowledge of operational risk management and governance, including the three lines of defense model, RCSAs and KRIs and operational loss reporting
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Professional certifications in risk management preferred, such as; PRM, FRM and NIBAF certified operational risk specialist.
