Job Summary
Seeking Operational Manager to drive operational excellence, transform material flow, and implement streamlined processes within the facility. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can balance people leadership with process innovation.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in distribution, continuous improvement, and change management, with a track record of delivering measurable results in productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the distribution department, ensuring on-time, accurate, and cost-effective execution of receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Design and implement improved material flow strategies to optimize space, labor, and equipment utilization.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and lean initiatives to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, transportation, customer service) to align DC operations with company strategy.
- Establish and track KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, and service; take corrective actions where necessary.
- Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and mentor supervisors and frontline teams to achieve high performance.
- Lead transformation projects that position the DC for scalable growth and future customer demands.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing, with at least 1 year DC management role.
- Proven ability to lead process transformation and material flow redesign.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with WMS, ERP systems, and warehouse automation technologies.
- Exceptional leadership skills: able to motivate, develop, and engage teams through change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into action.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in dynamic, high-volume operations.
