Tasks
Maintain PFEP for bus and import parts
Make packaging strategies to meet DICV’s cost and sustainability targets
Role involves ensuring the safe and efficient packaging of parts and aggregates to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Revisit current packaging concepts, designs to identify cost saving ideas
- Revisit and Digitize current process documents such as Packing Process Sheets etc
- Create innovative and cost-effective packaging designs for import parts
- Conduct packaging feasibility studies and provide recommendations for materials, packaging methods, and equipment
- Analyze quality concerns and propose creative, timely, and cost-effective corrective measures whenever packaging issues are reported
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize packaging designs and processes
- Smooth implementation and packaging readiness on New projects and change implementation parts
- Ensure 100% returnable packaging with sustainable solutions
- Identify and select appropriate packaging materials based on product specifications, durability, and transportation requirements
- Conduct material testing to assess packaging performance, including drop tests, vibration tests, and compression tests
- Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and implement design modifications as necessary
- Continuously evaluate and optimize packaging processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste
- Work closely with production teams to streamline packaging operations and improve productivity
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and automation solutions to improve packaging workflows
- Establish quality standards and guidelines for packaging operations
- Provide packaging specifications and guidelines to external stakeholders involved in the supply chain
- Maintain accurate documentation of packaging designs, specifications, and testing results
- Prepare reports and presentations on packaging performance, cost analysis, and improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in packaging technology, and regulatory changes
- Work close within logistic teams like IBL and WH to drive efficiency
