Job Description

Checkout.com is actively looking for a driven and agile Manager, Payments to join our growing Treasury team.

Working as part of our Treasury function, you'll be a key player partnering with Merchant Care, Commercial and Engineering teams to investigate and resolve payments queries. Evolving in a high-pace and multifaceted environment, meticulous attention to detail will be key.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, laser-focused and highly organised individual, not shying away from high volume of work. You must be a teammate when it comes to getting the job done and assisting wherever you can.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Represent Treasury payments team and work with Merchant Care, Commercial, Engineering and other Finance teams to ensure client payment issues are resolved

  • Coordinate integration of change into BAU within client services team, working collaboratively with other teams

  • Work collaboratively within Payments team in the UK/EU and globally including providing support as required for the daily BAU processes and developing and clear understanding of roles and processes

  • Use strong problem solving skills and a deep understanding of our systems, cashflows and processes to strengthen procedures

  • Be a key link to other teams and departments across Checkout.com

  • Focus on Initiative: Proactive – taking the initiative to address potential issues and implement preventative measures

  • Resolve customer queries with a customer-centric mindset

  • Support the team on audits both internal and external.

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years track record of experience in Payments (Acquiring / Issuing) in an international setup

  • Experience working with senior management and a multitude of partners

  • Strong process development and change management skills

  • Experience with applying supervising controls and mitigating operational risk

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, empower individuals and work collaboratively towards team goals

  • Highly analytical, strategic thinker with strong ideas and foresight
