Job Description:
- Oversee and manage all pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies, SOPs, and procedures in accordance with DRAP and hospital regulations.
- Ensure strict compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Lead inventory management, forecasting, budgeting, and procurement planning to maintain optimal stock levels and cost control.
- Conduct periodic audits, manage expiry control systems, and minimize wastage and losses.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff; ensure continuous professional development and performance management.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure effective medication management and patient care.
- Monitor quality assurance indicators and implement improvements to enhance patient safety and service excellence.
- Prepare reports related to pharmacy performance, stock analysis, compliance, and financial metrics for management review.
- Handle escalations, medication error reporting, and risk management processes.
- Ensure proper implementation and utilization of HIS and pharmacy management systems.
Requirements:
Education: Pharm-D from an HEC-recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a hospital, including at least 3–4 years in a managerial or leadership role.
License: Valid registration with the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
