About the Role:
The Pakistan Solar Association (PSA) is looking for a highly capable and experienced professional to lead its policy, regulatory, and government relations efforts. The selected candidate will drive PSA’s engagement with key institutions including NEPRA, AEDB, FBR, DISCOs, and relevant ministries advocating for progressive, sustainable, and industry aligned solar energy policies in Pakistan. This role demands strong expertise, deep understanding of the power and renewable energy ecosystem, and a proven background in policy advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead PSA’s policy initiatives and represent the association at senior government and regulatory levels.
  • Draft policy papers, position statements, regulatory comments, and formal submissions related to solar and renewable energy.
  • Represent PSA in official meetings, government forums, and high-level sector discussions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with regulators, ministries, DISCOs, and other critical stakeholders.
  • Monitor and interpret energy sector reforms, policies, and regulatory updates, identifying their impact on the solar sector.
  • Coordinate with PSA teams and member companies to align advocacy priorities and strategies.
  • Prepare reports, briefs, and communication materials to support decision-making and leadership updates.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in public policy, Law, Economics, Energy Studies, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 4+ years in Government Relations, Policy Advocacy, or Regulatory Affairs specifically within the Power, Renewable Energy, or Solar Sector in Pakistan.

Industry Knowledge (Mandatory):

  • Strong grasp of Pakistan’s energy regulatory framework, including NEPRA, AEDB, FBR, and Discos’ operational structures.

Skills:

  • Outstanding written and spoken communication (English)
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory data and present clear strategic positions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
