Manager Procurement - Promotional Material

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end procurement of pharmaceutical promotional materials, ensuring timely availability, cost optimization, quality compliance, and alignment with marketing strategies while adhering to regulatory and company standards .This position ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives by guaranteeing timely availability of high quality promotional materials, directly impacting brand visibility, market competitiveness, and revenue growth.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Management
  • Manage sourcing and procurement of promotional materials including: Giveaways (medical gifts, branded items), printed materials (visual aids, brochures, leaflets), event and activation materials (PSP activities, branding tools)
  • Ensure timely availability of materials aligned with marketing plans and product launches.


2.Vendor Prequalification and Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for promotional materials.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with reliable suppliers, monitor vendor performance (quality, cost, delivery timelines).
  • Conduct periodic vendor audits and performance reviews.


3.Cost Optimization & Budget Control

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through negotiation and strategic sourcing, optimize procurement spend without compromising quality, and work closely with finance and marketing to manage budgets.


4.Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with marketing teams for demand planning and specifications, Regulatory/QA/Legal for compliance of promotional content/materials, and Finance for budgeting and payment cycles
  • Align procurement plans with business and brand strategies.


5.Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all materials comply with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and ensure ethical procurement practices and transparency.
  • Maintain adherence to company SOPs and audit requirements.


6.Planning & Forecasting

  • Support visibility planning (monthly/quarterly demand forecasts).
  • Maintain inventory control for frequently used promotional items.
  • Minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

7.Process Improvement & Digitalization

  • Drive procurement process improvements, enhance efficiency through automation and standardization.
  • Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and KPIs.


Key Requirements:

The candidate must have/be:

  • a bachelor’s degree in supply chain (MBA is preferred)
  • 5-8 years of Procurement experience in Pharma sector, and strong experience in promotional procurement, printing, event management etc.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial insight, project management and planning skills, stake holder management and communication, analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance standards
