Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Manager, Finance Operations to lead a critical and highly visible team. This role is perfect for an ambitious professional ready to step up and own the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of core financial control processes. You won't just manage; you'll be a player-coach, driving key automation projects and mentoring a talented team to deliver financial accuracy and operational efficiency as we scale. This position is a launchpad for future leadership within our rapidly growing organization.

This role requires a blend of hands-on operational expertise and effective people leadership.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 5-10 Finance Operations Analysts/Senior Analysts, fostering a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous learning.

  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, set clear individual performance goals, and provide targeted coaching to build expertise in reconciliations, controls, and process improvement.

  • Actively participate in the hiring, onboarding, and retention of top talent for the team.

Operational Excellence & Control

  • Own the delivery of timely and accurate execution of complex financial reconciliations, ensuring all general ledger accounts are reconciled on time and according to company policy.

  • Drive the investigation and resolution of reconciliation breaks and complex variances, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.

  • Perform detailed quality reviews on high-volume and medium-risk reconciliations, upholding the highest standards of financial control and data integrity.


Process Improvement & Projects

  • Identify, champion, and execute process improvements, focusing on opportunities for automation (e.g., RPA, system enhancements) and re-engineering to improve the team's efficiency and control environment.

  • Serve as the Finance Operations subject matter expert on cross-functional projects, ensuring new systems or processes integrate smoothly with financial controls.

  • Monitor and report on team performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), translating team execution into clear results for leadership.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional and global teams to ensure alignment and support the company's international operations.


What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or a related field, with 1-2 years in a direct team leadership or supervisory role.

  • A professional qualification such as ACCA or similar.

  • Proven expertise in managing and executing complex, high-volume financial reconciliations and period-end close processes.

  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and implementing automation or system enhancements.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing financial escalations effectively.

  • A strong, collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Excels at building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, including auditors, directors and technology partners.
