Manager Quality Control & Assurance

Lahore, Pakistan

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage all Quality Control and Assurance activities to ensure that products meet internal and external quality standards. The role ensures compliance with customer, OEM and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all QC activities including inspection, testing and in-process quality checks.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of quality inspection plans, schedules and control procedures.
  • Ensure effective implementation and updating of Quality Control & Assurance documentation (QCA Documents).
  • Verify raw materials and finished goods through systematic testing and inspection processes.
  • Supervise calibration of measuring instruments across all relevant departments.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality records for audits and traceability.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and monitor company-wide quality assurance systems, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, OEM specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with customers for feedback, complaints and quality improvement actions.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors or inspectors as needed.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective / preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and lead cross-functional teams for process enhancement.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Lead and develop a team of QC Inspectors through regular training and mentoring.
  • Coordinate with shop floor in-charges to enforce quality standards in production processes.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with customers, vendors and internal departments.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and present quality performance reports, including defect trends, failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform statistical analysis of quality data to monitor trends and identify improvement areas.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of QC/QA tools and standards (e.g., ISO / TS standards, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
  • Strong understanding of calibration systems and inspection methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management software.
  • Ability to handle customer quality audits and technical discussions.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc or equivalent – Required)

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the auto parts industry.
  • Experience with OEM quality systems and working with vendor quality schedules is a plus.
