Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Manager RN of Labor and Delivery for a leadership role supporting a high-volume Women’s Services program in Houston, Texas.

The Manager RN of Labor and Delivery is responsible for administering, analyzing, and appraising patient care delivered within the Labor and Delivery unit. This leader advises hospital leadership on patient care operations, budgetary planning, and quality improvement initiatives while ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The Manager anticipates future departmental needs and serves as a clinical and operational resource to nursing staff, supporting education, competency development, and professional growth. This role collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer, analyze, and evaluate nursing care delivered within the Labor and Delivery unit
• Advise hospital leadership regarding patient care quality, operational performance, and budgetary projections
• Anticipate future staffing, operational, and clinical needs to improve patient outcomes
• Support and educate nursing staff with a focus on clinical competency and professional development
• Serve as a resource and clinical leader for the Labor and Delivery team
• Collaborate with department leadership and interdisciplinary partners to achieve organizational goals

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $45 – $58 per hour (heavily based on years of experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: Case by case
• Relocation Assistance: Case by case
• Shift: Nights (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), five days per week, may include weekends

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of RECENT (within the last year) acute care Labor & Delivery leadership experience required
• Current Texas RN license required
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• BCLS certification required
• Medication Learning Module required
• NRP certification required within six (6) months of hire
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification required within six (6) months of hire
• ACLS experience in acute care settings including L&D, OR, PACU, ICU, or related units
